Kristin Pankey, originally from Southern Illinois, obtained her BA in Psychology, with a minor in Management, from McKendree College in May of 2006 and enteredSIUC's Applied program in the fall of 2006. Her interests include: trainingassessment, program evaluation, 360-degree feedback, and gender diversity,specifically performance appraisal and its effect on gender stereotyping in theworkplace. Her future goals include working within the business of consulting. |
Steven Middleton entered the Applied Program in the Fall of 2006. He attended the University of Nebraska at Kearney where he received his B.S. in Psychology witha minor in Biology. His main research interests are in interpersonal relationships,diversity in the workforce, and gender and ethnic prejudices. Steven is currentlyworking on the implicit influence of facial attractiveness on ethnic hiring practices. |

Alen Avdic entered SIU in the fall of 2007. He received his B.A. in psychology at UM-St. Louis, Missouri. His research interests revolve around nonverbal communication and behavior, attachment, and personality. Alen’s goals for the future entail working as a consultant in the area of I/O psychology. |

Joel Nadler has both his BA and MA from SIUC and is working on completing his PhD. in applied psychology. Joel's research interests center on social stereotypes, implicit attitudes, and gender discrimination in the workplace. Joel enjoys teaching research methods, organizational behavior, and history of psychology and plans to enter academia teaching at a research oriented university. |

Nicholas Hoffman comes from Rockford, Illinois. He went to Western Illinois University for his bachelors in computer science and psychology with a minor in mathematics. He is currently interested in studying the psychology of religion and spirituality, focusing on behavioral religiosity. |

Gargi Bhattacharya from India joined the Applied Program in SIUC in the Fall of 2006. Gargi's research interest is in gender issues, creativity and innovation management, and training in workplace. Gargi loves watching animations and likes spending her leisure time with her mother, sister, and her six-year-old niece, Anushka. |

Nicole Cundiff, originally from central Illinois, started SIUC in 1997. She obtained her BA in psychology in December of 2002. Nicole then went to the College of Business Administration where she got her MBA in the spring of 2005, coming back to Psychology she got her MA in Applied Psychology in 2006. Her future goals include finishing the program with her Ph.D. in order to become a professor in Business. Her interests include: Multicultural Issues, Diversity in the Workforce, Prejudice in the United States-Gender and Ethnicity, and Organizational Change. |

Meghan Lowery entered SIU in 2007. She has a M.S. in Industrial-Organizational Psychology from Missouri State University, and a B.S. in Psychology from Texas State University. Her interests include survey design, psychometric standards in testing and evaluation, and employment law as it relates to fair employment practices, including selection, promotion, and compensation-related decisions. |

Theresa Castilla is from Menard, TX. In December 2006, she earned a B.A. in Psychology from St. Mary’s University at San Antonio, TX. Her research interests include personality and social psychology. Outside of academia, she enjoys traveling the U.S. with her husband, playing with her miniature dachshund “Scout,” and jogging. |

Director Rebecca Weston, Ph.D. 2007- Rebecca Weston, an associate professor in Applied Psychology received her Ph.D. in experimental psychology at the University of North Texas in 2001, with specializations in interpersonal relationships and quantitative methods. She has received funding from the National Institute of Justice to examine the effects of relational violence on women's attitudes toward the justice system. .
