DEFINING THE FIELD This year’s Midwest Applied Psychology Conference, in addition to featuring quality research from diverse fields such as industrial/organizational, clinical, and community psychology, will have a central theme of “Defining the Field.” A valuable move toward defining a field involves an exploration of topic areas and key issues. Join us as we draw together seasoned professionals, practitioners, and newcomers to continue the conversation; what is applied psychology? A common definition involves the use of psychological methods and knowledge to address practical real world problems. Questions that we are attempting to address are: What does our profession look like? Who identifies with this field? What topics are of interest and importance to our constituents? Come join this discussion at the biannual Midwest Applied Psychology Conference CALL FOR PAPERS, POSTERS, & SYMPOSIA: MAPC is no longer accepting proposals for presentations.
